Canadian Gateway to the Thousand Islands

The town’s name is pronounced “Gan-A-Nock-way” and is an aboriginal name which means town on two rivers. Known to the traveling public as “The Town Where The Gates Are Always Open,” visitors are welcomed by massive gateways at each entrance to the town. Gananoque was founded by Col. Joel Stone, one of the many United Empire Loyalists who relocated to Upper Canada following the American Revolution.

For over 200 years, the Thousand Islands has attracted those with wealth, substance or an appreciation for natural beauty to build stately homes here. Riverstone is very much a part of that tradition. Our unique amenities, such as the riverwalk and courtyard among others, set this desirable master planned condominium and townhome neighbourhood apart. And on the horizon, the Thousand Islands beckon with the call of adventure.
